Visitors are most welcome to meetings and garden visits.
Our Story
Like minded friends, led by Jenny Simons, got together to establish the Mittagong Garden Club and in August 2001 they had the first meeting.
After advertising the event at local nurseries 40 people attended the inaugural meeting.

The club's presidents have been, Jill Spathis, Judy Gray, Nancy Wood, Roslyn Wootton.
Our current president is Helen Simms.

In 2012, we presented to our President, Judy Gray, a medal from the Garden Clubs of Australia to thank her for her dedication to our club’s affairs.

Judy organised all of our coach trips, many of the garden visits and all the arrangements when we were contacted by clubs visiting the Southern Highlands who wanted to view our gardens.
She was also the first person to be made a Life Member of our Club.
Two more Life Members have been created, Jenny Simons and Julie-Rose Moffat.
Judy Keast and Jenny Simons have also been awarded medals through the Garden Clubs of Australia to which our club is affiliated.

Our newsletter ‘Flower Pot’ was suggested to the club in 2003 by Julie Bates, who offered to be its first editor.
It was initially a printed document, distributed at meetings. Now it is delivered electronically via email and edited by Rosalyn Mulligan.
